Why Consider meditation?

Countless studies reveal the powerful effect of meditation on the mind and body. The Many Benefits of Meditation According to a Pew Research Center survey, feeling stressed, tired, rushed, and short on quality time is very common among parents, especially those who are working. These symptoms are doubled when the parenting is done primarily by one parent. Survey’s consistently revealed that high levels of working parents suffer from stress-related health problems. Theses range from struggling with anxiety, depression and deeper mental health issues. A study published in the Archives of Women's Mental Health found that women who used a mindfulness practice in the postpartum period exhibited significantly less anxiety, stress, and psychological distress than women who did not. The group who practised mediation also experienced more self-compassion and greater awareness.
