TEDxLondonWomen Behind the scenes

Firstly i would like to say Congratulations to Dr Faith Mwangi Powell Founder of @girlsnotbrides_ , Author Christina Lamb, Activist/EDI and Founder Asian Woman festival Shani Dhanda, Metro columnist and co-director of Mygenderation Ugla Stefania (owl) Fisher @thefoxfisher, Dr Karen Gurney @thesexdoctor The Hot Poets @livtorc @zena_e_poetics @storyverser, Marie Williams Founder of @dreamnetworks_play4all, Artist Reeta Loi @reetaloi for their amazing and thought provoking talks and TedxLondonWomen for providing me with this opportunity.

 Being behind the scene’s at TedxLondonWomen 27th February 2022 supporting the speakers was an honour. The TedxLondonWomen event reminded me that “no matter how successful you are, what you have achieved, you can still get nervous. As women rather than thinking that we are not good enough reframe your thinking to “you are nervous because you care.” and “ Remember there is no room your not supposed to be in, it’s either a lesson or a blessing.”

“ After 27 years working with children and families and 8 of them working in early intervention which is a tier of social care has taught me that, sometimes we have to be our own heros. Sometimes our environment means that we will have to save ourselves and go the route less travelled. You may need to find allies on the way to support you as our immediate surroundings may not see what you see. But like the amazing TedxLondonWomen speakers that I heard & supported during TedxLondonWomen @tedxlondon if you are brave enough your story can and will inspire someone. The TedxLondon Speakers had to start somewhere and those are the stories in history that are worth talking about.  What a day like the Mark Twain quote states "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." – . Thank you @tedxlondon  It was such a privileged to be part of TeamX supporting the most amazing and inspirational speakers. You are All truly amazing and are being the change we need to see in the world.”

I honestly know I was meant to support people to over come their fears. The joy I get from seeing other people achieved is powerful. #tedxlondonwomen #tedtalks #tedx #tedxlondon
